Sanskrit Lecturer (Intermediate)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Sanskrit Lecturer to join our faculty in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making the Sanskrit language accessible and engaging for Intermediate students. As many students select Sanskrit to enhance their academic percentage, your primary goal will be to ensure they master Shlokas, Sandhi, and Shabdas with total accuracy and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Syllabus Management: Deliver comprehensive lessons covering the prescribed 1st and 2nd-year Intermediate Sanskrit curriculum.
• Grammar Instruction: Facilitate the mastery of Sandhi, Samasa, Shabdas, and Dhatus through effective teaching methods that aid memorization.
• Translation Proficiency: Guide students in accurately translating prose and poetry from Sanskrit into English or Telugu, adhering to standard examination requirements.
• Examination Strategy: Implement scoring strategies aligned with the official board blueprint, training students to eliminate minor errors in Visargas and Anuswaras to maximize their marks.
• Linguistic Tradition: Promote the correct pronunciation and chanting of Shlokas to maintain the language's rich oral tradition and sustain student interest.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: M.A. in Sanskrit or Sahitya Acharya is required. A B.Ed. or specialized Pandit training is considered a significant advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an Intermediate college or higher secondary environment.
• Linguistic Skills: Exceptional handwriting in the Devanagari script and the ability to explain complex Sanskrit meanings fluently in English or Telugu.
