Primary Science Teacher

Role Overview

Sri Sai Kids International Play School is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Science Teacher to bring the wonders of the world to life for our students. Moving beyond traditional textbooks, we focus on a "Learning by Doing" approach. Your role will be to ignite curiosity about the natural world, physics, and biology through hands-on experiments, outdoor exploration, and interactive demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Experiential Teaching: Create and deliver lesson plans that emphasize observation and experimentation rather than rote memorization.
• STEM Integration: Incorporate basic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts through age-appropriate building projects and puzzles.
• Lab & Resource Management: Organize "Junior Lab" sessions where children can safely explore concepts like magnetism, botany, and weather patterns.
• Outdoor Learning: Lead nature walks and gardening activities to teach environmental science and sustainability.
• Inquiry-Based Assessment: Evaluate student progress based on their ability to ask questions, form hypotheses, and explain their observations.
• Safety Standards: Maintain a safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials and experiments are child-friendly and non-toxic.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.) or a related field. A B.Ed. or specialized training in early childhood education is a significant advantage.
• Experience: 3 years of proven experience teaching science at the primary or pre-primary level, with a portfolio of hands-on activities.
• Skills: Ability to explain scientific phenomena, including concepts in physics, biology, and atoms, in simple and imaginative language that children can relate to.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using visual aids, digital microscopes, and educational apps to enhance the learning experience.
• Personality: Highly curious, patient, and energetic with a proactive "let’s find out" attitude.
