Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Department (Science) to lead our academic team in Chennai. This role is designed for a seasoned educator who can oversee academic planning, manage faculty, and drive excellence in science education through effective curriculum delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring a cohesive and high-standard academic environment.

• Supervise faculty members and oversee the development and execution of comprehensive academic plans.

• Monitor and ensure the delivery of high-quality education, maintaining standards of excellence in teaching.

• Coordinate departmental meetings, curriculum updates, and resource management.

• Mentor staff and facilitate professional development within the science department.

• Support student academic growth and maintain discipline within the department.

• Collaborate with school leadership to implement educational strategies and institutional goals.

Requirements

Education:

• Master of Science (M.Sc) is mandatory.

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.

• Prior experience as an HOD, Academic Coordinator, or Department Lead is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Deep understanding of science pedagogy and curriculum planning.

• Ability to mentor and motivate teaching staff.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
